Bank Holidays in April 2023: Except some states in India, private and public sector banks will remain closed on April 1 i.e. Saturday. Actually, this is due to the annual closure of bank accounts of notified banks through the Reserve Bank of India, which is reserved for bank employees every year. The financial year ends on 31 March and the new financial year begins on 1 April.
