Everyday Bengali Recipes :
Most of Bengalis like rice than ruti. They eat rice with some other daily dishes. Check it out
(1)Dal – the staple food of millions on this planet is a regular feature on any Indian thali and Bengali thali is no exception. However, we keep changing the type of dal from season to season and on special occasions. In Bengali households, summer essentially means tok daal or mango dal , the one made with the raw mangoes or lau r teto dal or bittergourd dal, the one with the bottle gourds and bitter gourds. Other than that the “all season musoor daal” or red lentils are must haves.

(3) Mochar Ghonto: ‘Mocha’ in Bengali means Plantain flowers or Banana blossoms. Plantain Flowers have amazing health benefits.

1) Ilish Macher Jhol:One of the much-favoured fishes in the region, Hilsa or ilish fish curry is something that you have got to try your hands on. Mishti Doi: One of the most popular and well-known desserts in Bengal is the creamy and delicious Mishti Doi. Made with a blend of thick milk and jaggery this is something you simply have to try.
