According to the website of the Women’s Tennis Association, Sania Mirza’s total prize money till February 21, 2023 is more than Rs 60 crore. In the first two months of this year, the tennis star has earned more than Rs 16 lakh through prize money. According to the website, in 2008, Sania Mirza won prize money of more than 8 crores.
‘Neither a rebel, nor a trend setter’
Sania Mirza said in a recent interview, “Society should accept differences and not label anyone as a villain or a hero, for those who dare to do things in their own way.” Presenting as such should be avoided.
He had said, “I don’t think I have broken any rule or restriction. On the question of being a trend setter, Sania Mirza said, I try to live with integrity. That’s what I’ve always tried to do. I have tried to be true to myself. I have tried to live life on my own terms.
Sania Mirza said, “I think everyone should be able to do that and should be given the freedom to do that. No one should say that you are setting a new trend. You are breaking the rules. I may be different for you, but that doesn’t mean I’m a rebel, or breaking any kind of restrictions.”
