Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman: PM Modi stressed on the need to work in ‘mission mode’ to help artisans living in remote areas and make them a part of the value chain. Modi said in a webinar organized after the budget on ‘Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman’ scheme, ‘Our aim is to make artisans big entrepreneurs of tomorrow.’
Stability is necessary in business model
He said that for this stability in his business model is necessary. The PM called upon all stakeholders to make small artisans a part of their value chain. Modi said that the objective of ‘Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana’ is to enhance the skills of artisans, ensure easy availability of loans for them and help them in brand promotion so that their products reach the market quickly.
The Prime Minister said that its goal is also to help artisans and people associated with small businesses. He said that crores of people have been trained under the ‘Skill India Mission’. The Prime Minister said that small-scale artisans play an important role in the creation of local crafts and in the development of the country.
